AGELESS STYLE: Wardrobe staples for everyone by fashion stylist Arabella Greenhill

A core accessory on the autumn/winter 23 runways, wrap capes were thrown over tailoring at The Row and Louis Vuitton, and flaunted checks at Burberry.

Both a bold style statement and a practical buy, they are great for transitional dressing – and incredibly adaptable.

THE WRAP CAPE

Go big. Your average scarf won’t add much drama, but a wrap cape with a decent width (over 40cm) will drape beautifully over any outfit and create structure.

Bring on the bling. The brooch is back, and the perfect partner for a wrap cape – choose something gold and minimal for day or glam and sparkly for evening.

Add a belt. Wind the wrap cape around your neck once, allow to hang down on both sides then secure at the waist with a belt for a strong silhouette.
